Terms of Use

These terms cover the Manila iPhone app published by Chipped Studios. By using Manila, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What Manila is

Manila is a parent-kept binder for child health facts and documents on one iPhone. It is not a medical device, not a clinician, and not an official record system. It does not diagnose, treat, calculate doses, or replace a doctor, hospital, school, or camp form.

You are responsible for what you enter, for checking it against the original document or clinician, and for how you share copies you export.

Who may use it

Manila is for a parent or guardian keeping records about a child in their care. It is not for children to operate. Do not enter another person’s child without the authority to keep those records.

Your records

In the current public app, the binder stays on that iPhone. Chipped Studios does not receive your records, photos, or recognized text. How that storage works is described in the Privacy Policy.

If you print, AirDrop, email, or upload a PDF, that copy is then outside Manila. We cannot recall it.

Manila Plus

Optional paid features are sold as an auto-renewing Apple subscription. Payment, tax, renewals, refunds, Restore purchases, and cancellation are handled by Apple through your Apple Account.

Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the paid subscription. If these terms and Apple’s agreement conflict on a purchase issue, Apple’s agreement controls that issue.

A lapse does not delete or lock records already in the binder. It only stops a new Plus action.

Erasing Manila data or deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Cancel in iOS Settings or Manage subscriptions inside Manila.

No medical advice

Nothing in Manila is medical advice. Check questions about health, treatment, doses, and official forms with the appropriate clinician or institution.

Availability

The app is provided as-is. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular emergency, school, camp, or clinical use. To the extent the law allows, Chipped Studios is not liable for lost records, missed appointments, or decisions made from information in the binder.

Changes

If we change these terms, the date at the top of this page will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
